The son of Vietnamese refugees who went from SRO resident to accomplished tech patent attorney, 20-year community organizer, drag performer (Juicy Liu), and elected SF Democratic Party member, Michael Nguyen’s story is San Francisco's story. As the only candidate in the District 8 race who has held elected office, Nguyen brings analytical precision, lived experience, and a two-decade track record of bringing people together—co-founding QTAPI Week and the LGBTQ March for Asian Lives. He’s not learning how to bring people together on the job; he’s already done the work.
