Kenny Nguyen, a Colorado native, is part of the next generation of Vietnamese American leaders. He has devoted his life to public service and improving his community. Alongside his massive grassroots support, he brings a wealth of governmental experience that will allow him to serve his community effectively.

Kenny Nguyen is running to serve as city councilperson for Broomfield
Ward 1. He hopes to serve his community and help it thrive to be an
inclusive and affordable place driven by sustainable growth. Having
worked for education nonprofits and for the Lt. Governor's office,
Kenny's drive for public service makes him Broomfield's best choice.

Kenny was born and raised in Colorado by Vietnamese refugees from the
Vietnam War. Kenny was the first in his family to complete any
undergraduate education and did so with a double BA in Political
Science and Communication from the University of Colorado Boulder. He
is currently completing his Master of Public Administration from the
University of Colorado Denver.

Professionally, Kenny has served as an AmeriCorps Service Member for
the “I Have a Dream” Foundation and as a community organizer for the
Jared Polis for Governor campaign in 2018. He currently serves as the
Executive Assistant to Colorado’s Lieutenant Governor, Dianne
Primavera. Kenny has been a member of the Broomfield Arts, History and
Cultural Council since 2020 during which he was elected chair from
2021-2022. Additionally, he has served as the Vice Chair to the
Colorado Democratic Party Asian American Pacific Islander Initiative.
In his free time, Kenny can be found participating and growing the
anime and cosplay community in the state while streaming trading card
openings and video games. After the Marshall Fire devastated
neighboring Lafayette, Kenny used his social media presence to
fundraise relief money for victim's with the town's mayor in a 24 hour
live stream.

If elected, Kenny will be the first Asian American council member and
will be the 3rd youngest elected to the City and County of Broomfield.
